Remote Car Diagnostics with AUTEL: Use Your Scanner From Anywhere
AUTEL is one of the most widely used diagnostic platforms in the trade. With AIR OBD, you can use the same AUTEL scanner you already own on any vehicle over the internet — no need to be standing next to the car.
How AUTEL works remotely with AIR OBD
AIR OBD is a two-part internet bridge. The Slave plugs into the vehicle's OBD2 port; the Master connects on your side, where your AUTEL device is. The two link over the internet and pass the OBD2 connection through in real time — so AUTEL communicates with the car exactly as it would over a cable.
You don't change your workflow. You open AUTEL, select the vehicle, and work — the only difference is the car can be in another city or another country.
What you can do with AUTEL remotely
- Full-system fault code read and clear
- Live data streams and freeze-frame
- Active / bi-directional tests and actuator control
- Module coding and adaptations
- Key and immobiliser programming
- Service resets — oil, brakes, battery registration, and more
If your AUTEL can do it at the port, it can do it through AIR OBD.
Why do AUTEL diagnostics remotely?
- Reach more cars — help clients and partner garages without either of you travelling
- Sell your expertise anywhere — one AUTEL, a worldwide service area
- Cut downtime — a vehicle stuck at another location gets diagnosed the same day
- Support your network — back up other technicians live, from your desk
Simple to set up
No special AUTEL configuration is required. AIR OBD comes in Wi-Fi and LAN versions — Wi-Fi for maximum flexibility, LAN for a wired, ultra-stable link on the Master side during longer sessions.
Turn your AUTEL into a remote diagnostic station and work on any car, anywhere.
