Remote OBD2 diagnostics removes that limitation: you connect to a vehicle's OBD2 port from anywhere in the world, over the internet, as if you were standing right next to it.

What is remote OBD2 diagnostics?

Remote OBD2 diagnostics is the ability to run a full diagnostic session on a vehicle without being physically present. Instead of a cable between your diagnostic tool and the car, an internet bridge carries the same OBD2 data — in real time — between two points that can be thousands of kilometres apart.

AIR OBD does this with a two-part bridge:

• Master — connects to your diagnostic tool (laptop, tablet, or dedicated device)
• Slave — plugs into the vehicle's OBD2 port

The Master and Slave link over the internet, and your software behaves exactly as if the car were in front of you.
